Ingredients
Caffeine, Counted Twice
Green tea and guarana in one undeclared blend, and why the total matters more than either name.

There are two caffeine sources in this formula and the label does not tell you how much of either is present. That is not a scandal, it is a consequence of a proprietary blend, and it is worth understanding before you take the first dose at nine in the evening.
Where It Comes From
Green tea extract carries caffeine alongside its catechins. Concentrated extracts contain considerably more caffeine per gram than brewed tea.
Guarana seed is one of the most caffeine-dense plant materials in commercial use, typically two to four times the caffeine of a coffee bean by weight. It is in energy drinks for that reason alone.
Both sit inside the same 200 mg blend, which declares one combined weight. The caffeine total is therefore unknowable from the label, and no honest page can estimate it for you.
Why That Matters Practically
| Source | Roughly |
|---|---|
| Brewed coffee, 1 cup | 95 mg |
| Black tea, 1 cup | 47 mg |
| Green tea, 1 cup | 28 mg |
| Energy drink, 1 can | 80 mg or more |
| Dark chocolate, 30 g | 12 mg |
| This product | Not declared |
Most adults tolerate up to about 400 mg a day without difficulty, which is roughly four coffees. The problem is not that this product breaks that ceiling. The problem is that it sits somewhere in your daily total and refuses to say where.
Three Practical Rules
Morning only. This is the whole reason for the instruction. Caffeine has a half life of around five hours in most people and considerably longer in some, so an evening dose is a bet against your own sleep.
Drop one coffee for the first week. If you already run at three or four cups, take one out while you learn what this adds. You can always put it back.
Treat jitteriness as information. If you feel wired rather than alert, the total is too high for you. That is a caffeine signal, not a sign the product is working.
The Confusion It Causes
Some of what people describe as an energy effect from products in this category is straightforwardly caffeine. That is not a criticism — caffeine does raise alertness, reliably and cheaply.
It matters because it is easy to attribute a caffeine effect to a botanical mechanism and conclude that the formula is doing something it is not. Knowing which is which makes you a better judge of your own four weeks.
Who Should Be More Careful
- Anyone pregnant or breastfeeding, where caffeine limits are lower
- Anyone managing anxiety or panic
- Anyone with a heart rhythm condition
- Anyone whose sleep is already fragile
- Anyone taking medication that interacts with stimulants
None of those is an absolute bar for a healthy adult, and all of them are reasons to ask a pharmacist rather than guess.
Three Short Answers
How much caffeine is in one dropper?
The label does not declare it, because both caffeine sources sit inside a proprietary blend. That is a genuine limitation.
Can I take it and still drink coffee?
Yes, with the total in mind. If you are already at four cups a day, drop one while you find out what this adds.
Would a decaffeinated version exist?
Decaffeinated green tea extract exists, but guarana is essentially a caffeine ingredient. Removing it would change the formula.
